How to set up a shopping cart

You may use a shopping cart for selling a selection of goods or a single product or service (for example, when you are selling just one product and need a quantity selector on your product page).
With Tilda, you can create a small online store or add a payment system. You will find the blocks you need in the Shop templates category.

Let's have a look at the way the shopping cart operates.
1. Add the Cart block: ST100 from the Shop category to your page
If your site has several pages and you want to have a cart on every single one of them, add a cart to your Header or Footer. You will only need to do it once, and the shopping cart will appear on every page of your website.

2. Choose and add the block with product cards
A purchase event can be created in any block. If you are using a block from a different category (not Shop), add the link:

#order:Product name =1000

where 'Product name' is the name of the product and '1000' is the price of the unit.

If you decide not to use a block from the Shop category, a product image will not appear in the shopping cart. To add an image, include this link:

#order:Product name =1000:::image=URL

where the URL is the web address of the image. You may use the URL of the image uploaded to Tilda.
You can use the URL of the image uploaded to any any image hosting service.
Now you can publish the page and your store will be 'live': customers can add products to the shopping cart and complete their purchase. Notifications will be saved in your account.
A shopping cart icon will appear on the page when a product is being added to a shopping cart. If the shopping cart is empty, the icon won't be visible.
