How to send order notifications

When you sell products or services using a shopping cart, order information such as an email informing a client when their payment has gone through, can be sent to their email automatically. Clients who opt to pay cash on delivery will also receive an email notification.
There are two ways of sending a notification by email

1) Using a custom domain email address
2) Via SendGrid
How to send notifications via a custom domain email address

Make sure that the shopping cart has an email input field.

Choose Settings → Payment Systems → General payment systems settings → Settings for customer notification about an order
Create a new mailbox where you'd like to receive these notifications.

It is important to create a new mailbox for notifications because we at Tilda do not want to have access to your personal mailbox.

If you use Gmail, please read: https://myaccount.google.com/lesssecureapps.

After you've created your mailbox, click the On button to 'Allow less secure apps' to allow some apps and devices to use less secure sign-in technology.
Fill in the input fields:

Outgoing mail service (SMTP)
— find email port and secure type in your mailbox service's references. For Gmail, these are smtp.google.com, 465 and SSL;

Email (from) — notifications will be sent from this email;

Subject and email template — email content.
You may use four dynamic variables:
{{order_number}}
{{amount}}
{{order_date}}
{{order_details}}
Example

Let's use 'notifications@tsupport.info' as an example:
Save changes and send a test email.
Following a successful payment (or choosing 'Cash on delivery'), a customer will be notified by email about the transaction.
How to send notifications via SendGrid
Create and copy the API key in your account in SendGrid.
Return to Tilda → Site Settings → Payment Systems → General payment systems settings → Settings for customer notification about an order
Edit subject and content of the email.

It is possible to choose 4 variables:
{{order_number}}
{{amount}}
{{order_date}}
{{order_details}}

Order information will appear inside the curly brackets.

Save settings.

Following a successful payment (or choosing 'Cash on delivery'), a customer will be notified by email about the transaction.
